March 2026 Product Updates: Figma Extended Collections, Prototyping Templates & Design-to-Code Rendering

Transform your design system workflow with multi-brand token management, curated prototype templates, and Figma-to-code rendering that preserves layer structure.

March brought powerful new capabilities that make Supernova faster, smarter, and more aligned with how teams actually work. From managing multi-brand design systems with Figma's extended collections to converting Figma frames into interactive prototypes with true layer-by-layer rendering, here's everything new this month.

Figma’s Extended Collections & plugin updates

We now support Figma Extended Collections, making multi-brand design system management much simpler. Extended Collections let you create a parent collection and extend it across brands using value overrides. When you update the parent collection, all extended collections automatically inherit the changes unless they have explicit overrides.

We’ve also refreshed the Variables Sync plugin interface. The main navigation and useful links are now in the sidebar for a cleaner experience, and the plugin window is resizable to better fit your workflow. New Styles and Components tabs provide clear instructions for importing assets into Supernova using file links.

Start Prototyping from Templates

Enterprise users can now jumpstart feature development by selecting from pre-built templates directly from their design system container. Skip the blank canvas and start building faster with templates that already include your components, patterns, and styling.

Rendering Figma Designs in Prototyping

Turn Figma frames into interactive, editable code with true layer-by-layer rendering. Paste a Figma frame link directly into your prototyping flow, and Supernova fetches the design metadata, renders the actual layer structure, and matches it with your custom code components.

This feature is available across all Supernova plans, making design-to-code workflows accessible to teams of all sizes.

Login Page Customization

Enterprise teams can now configure custom login pages with their own branding and only the authentication methods that work for their users. Replace the Supernova logo with your company logo and remove unnecessary login options that create confusion.

What This Means for Your Team

These updates represent a significant step forward in how design systems power product development:

For design system teams: Extended collections support means managing multi-brand systems is no longer a manual token-duplication exercise. You can update once and propagate changes across brands while maintaining brand-specific overrides.

For product teams: Template-based prototyping and Figma-to-code rendering eliminate the gap between design and implementation. Prototypes start from approved patterns and reflect actual design structure, not approximations.
