How do I connect Figma Variables to Supernova?

Use our Figma Variables plug-in to import Figma Variables.  See Section 2.1 on instructions on how to do so.

Does Supernova support Modes?

Yes! We, do support modes. We import modes as themes in Supernova.  

Note that we currently cannot import modes as Brands.  However, if your design system has multiple brands enabled, you can now select the brand to which you want to push collections.You can select which mode of the collection you want to import to the selected brand as a theme. This is useful when you want to preserve the mode name in Supernova.

Also, modes are only supported on Company and Enterprise plans.

Can I import styles from both Token Studio and Figma?

No - if you’re importing styles from Token Studio, you can’t import styles from Figma. 

Does Supernova support Typography?

Yes, Supernova supports Typography, but these need to be imported from a figma library file, not through variable import plugin. References to Typography Styles are also preserved in Supernova.

Can you assign token types based on Figma Variable Scopes? 

Absolutely. Supernova will automatically detect appropriate design token types based on the scopes of Figma variables, ensuring correct classification of number and string variables.
